Saint Michael's College is located in the scenic state of Vermont, with its clean air and water, the Green Mountains, four seasons, and year-round outdoor, recreation. Located only minutes from the state's largest city of Burlington, Saint Michael's campus is safe and secure. Saint Michael's is two hours from Montreal by car, four hours from Boston and six hours from New York City.
Regular sessions open every 8 weeks and include 25 hours per week of classroom and laboratory instruction. The Intensive English Program (IEP) has five levels of instruction: I (beginner), II (low intermediate), III (intermediate), IV (high intermediate), and V (advanced). The mission of the IEP is to provide the highest quality English-language instruction to speakers of other languages in order to meet their personal, academic or professional goals. Intensive instruction in oral skills, listening comprehension, vocabulary development, reading, writing and grammar for both general and academic English is offered. The IEP is committed to academic excellence, intercultural understanding, and attention to individual students needs and interests.
Housing in dormitories is arranged for students who wish to live on-campus. Students older than 25 are housed in townhouses with private bedrooms and a common living area. Every effort is made to house students with a roommate who does not speak their language.
