ELECT at Camp Longbeach!

Students aged 12-17 are welcome to enroll for this session of Camp ELECT. This program specializes in English Language Education and Cultural Training for students who want to improve their English via immersion. Students will advance their English, learn outdoor skills, and experience authentic Australian culture on Australia's beautiful South Coast!

In class, students will gain confidence speaking in front of their peers and to their teachers. They will improve their grammar, vocabulary, listening skills and reading comprehension. There are a minimum of 26 class hours per week. Students will also be challenged to speak English during activities, meals, and all city tours.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

The Australian adventure begins in the country's capital: Canberra. We'll spend two days visiting museums and touring the sites with fellow students and staff.

On day 3, the group will take a private bus about two hours east to our new home at Camp Longbeach, where English classes and outdoor activities take place together.

Students will experience an overnight campout, visit an Australian farm, and learn about Australian animals at the wildlife park.

We wrap up our time together with a 3-day tour of Sydney, Australia's largest city. See the sights, climb tall heights, learn the city's history, take a photo in front of the famous Opera House, and sail across Sydney Harbor.

Students will participate in many activities. They will develop wilderness and survival skills like preparing a campsite, planning an overnight campout, building a campfire, and preparing a real Australian BBQ!
