Owning a bicycle is quite inexpensive, it keeps you active and you will never have to worry about finding parking. You also can also ride the bus for free anywhere in Corvallis. Life is very convenient here, so you can focus on your studies.

What to Do for Fun: OSU students love to attend sporting events like football games with their friends. There are always concerts, lectures and performances on campus and around the community. International students often go out to eat together at local restaurants, or socialize with friends at their residence hall or apartment. There are sidewalk cafes, rooftop restaurants, parks, bike paths, coffee shops, farmer’s markets and much more to explore!

Shopping: You can explore the city of Portland, or shop all day at the outlet mall, which has name brands at lower prices. There is no sales tax in Oregon, so even other Americans journey here to shop!
