English as a Second Language Program at Santa Fe Community COllege

Description

The ESL Program at Santa Fe Community College offers semester long classes for English language learners. Each class is 5 hours per week and students can take more than one class at a time according to their level. Also offered is Intercambio: a conversation partner program and a Book Club for students interested in reading a book with a teacher.

Our Summer English Immersion Program is a course of English language training with 36 hours of classroom training and 18+ hours of activities centered on American Culture studies. Language instruction is given in a multi-modal,multi-sensory approach that makes learning fun and engaging while accessing your particular learning style. We also include excursions to natural, artistic, and cultural sites and venues. Summer is a great time to be in Santa FE becuase there are many festivals.

Other Program Services With advanced notice, we can also give short-term to long-term English language trainings on specialized topics to academic or business groups. These specialized content courses can be English programs, English + field of study themed trainings, international workshops or Intensive English Programs.

Housing is provided for Summer English Immersion Program participants at our partner institution, Institute of American Indian Arts. Rooms are double occupancy with private bathroom. Meals are served in their cafeteria.
