Description
The American English Program features an Intensive English Program, Business English, Academic English, and part-time English classes. Students enjoy small class sizes in the comfort of the modern classrooms in the NJCU School of Business, with state-of-the-art technology in this new facility. We also enjoy a fantastic view of One World Trade Center and downtown New York City right across the Hudson River from us.
We are open year round with multiple start dates, quick and easy access to New York City, and conditional admission to NJCU degree programs. Upcoming sessions will include Academic English and Business English courses in addition to our Intensive English Program. Fall, Winter/Spring, and Summer sessions.
NJCU's American English Program is authorized under Federal law to enroll non-immigrant aliens.
Recent organized activities have included a trip to the Statue of Liberty, a visit to the New York City office of Facebook, kayaking on the Hudson River, and a walking tour of Greenwich Village in New York City.
Housing is available on-campus in our brand new West Village dormitory including a fitness room, free laundry machines, a game room with a pool table and a foosball table, and full meal plan.

The Intensive English Program (IEP) of the American English Program at NJCU features:
19 hours per week of English instruction

Combine three courses to equal your 19 hours, choosing from: Conversational English, Core English Skills, Business English, Academic ESL for Graduate Students, TOEFL Preparation.
