Description

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater English Language Academy helps students meet their academic, professional and personal goals through meaningful opportunities to learn English as a second language — inside and outside the classroom.

Our program offers four levels of English instruction: beginner, intermediate, advanced and bridge. A placement test helps ensure students are placed in the right level. Our instructors have advanced degrees and love to teach international students.

Knowledgeable student tutors support ELA students in small-group study sessions. At the bridge level, ELA students enroll in several English classes that carry credit towards a UW-Whitewater degree. This makes it easy for ELA students to transition into a degree program at UW-Whitewater.
