The Center for English Language and Orientation Programs (CELOP) is the intensive English language program at Boston University. We have been teaching English language and culture to international students since 1975. Located in Boston, Massachusetts, it is among the world's leading English language centers.
CELOP offers a unique model that helps students meet their goals and find the next step in their academic or professional career. We have sent thousands of students to universities around the United States.
CELOP programs are primarily designed for students who need English for success in their academic career but we also offer programs for professional growth and personal enrichment.
CELOP students have the opportunity to learn in small class sizes with one-on-one attention from our experienced Boston University ESL faculty. Our faculty will help students acclimate to American culture with a focus on providing skills for workplace and academic readiness.
At CELOP, we have created a supportive learning environment that provides students with individual advising to assist them with the complex college application process.
Our primary goal is to help students find the right “next step” in their professional or educational life. We work closely to educate our students about the college admission process. We provide expert guidance throughout the college admissions process by having students work with our admissions advisor who provides individualized attention to each student.
CELOP students will receive the opportunity to live on campus in Boston University dormitories and engage in the rich student life that Boston University has to offer by joining various student clubs, taking trips throughout the Boston Area, and engaging with the greater Boston University community.
