Mercer Atlanta Campus is located in northeast Atlanta. Atlanta is an international community of 3 million and was chosen as the site of the 1996 Olympics. Attractions such as Stone Mountain, Underground Atlanta, Civil War museums, amusement parks and America's largest man-made lake, Lake Lanier.

Mercer University English Language Institute is an academic program that prepares students for university study. There are five levels, which are divided into two sections. Each session lasts eight weeks. The first week is registration, testing and placement , and orientation. Classes meet Monday through Friday. Classes are offered in grammar, writing, listening/speaking and reading. The faculty are experienced and professionally prepared. The computer lab offers state-of-the art English language software, Internet access, word processing and e-mail.
