Downe House is one of the most prestigious boarding schools in England. It is 45 minutes away from Heathrow International Airport, our hour from Central London and half an hour from Oxford.It is set in its own grounds of 110 acres, and boasts playing fields, 13 tennis courts, an indoor heated swimming pool (25m), a new gymnasium with fitness room, 3 glass-backed squash courts and an art room as well as a theatre.

The Language courses run by LINES, at “Downe House”in England and “Les Trois Vallees” in France aim to be the ultimate academic intensive courses for todays™ modern student currently available.The students are placed into different groups according to age and standard of knowledge, from Beginner to very advanced. There is a maximum of 10 students in each class (average 6) to ensure super – intensive and personalized instruction.Our teachers are strictly selected and are all highly qualified, enthusiastic and professional. LINES Languages Ltd is British Council accredited.After a very precise assessment test, students join their class and have up to 32 lessons (of 45’ each) per week. Senior students can even add daily optional workshops to meet their specific needs: exam preparation – listening comprehension – academic year preparation – TOEFL – CFE…..At the end of their stay at LINES every student receives a certificate .
