Program Description

The Madison English as a Second Language School LLC (MESLS) teaches the English language to non-native speakers who would like to improve their English capability. MESLS is open to all adults 16 years of age and older who are capable of benefiting from instruction. Classes are organized in 6 7-week sessions, and there are 6 levels of instruction which include grammar, reading, writing and communication classes. In addition, MESLS offers supplementary classes in high-interest areas such as pronunciation and TOEFL preparation. Student housing is available at the school site, and the activity program guarantees that students will partake fully in American life and also make friends with plenty of other students. At the completion of each session, students receive grades with evaluation comments, certificates, and schedules for the next session if they are continuing.
