Program Description

The program emphasizes preparation for college study. There are six levels of instruction, from beginning to advanced. There are two 9-week sessions in the fall and spring semesters and an 8-week session in the summer.

Off campus apartments ($300-400/month); North Harris College has a partnership with an apartment community in North Houston. New residents who sign a 12-month lease will receive a certificate worth $350 toward tuition and fees; $200 for a 7-month lease.

location information:

Located in the "hub of the newer district" of Houston, North Harris College is nestled on more than 200 acres of piney woods. The college also is north Houston's center for the arts, including a juried art gallery and comprehensive fine arts curriculum with a calendar full of free and low-cost theater, music, arts events, and exhibits.

application information:

Each student should submit a completed and signed Application for Admissions form; a notarized letter indicating evidence of sufficient financial support; most recent academic transcript; and a small photograph. When accepted into the program, the student will receive a letter of acceptance and a Certificate of Eligibility {Form I-20}.
