LCIO is located in a friendly, safe suburb eight miles southwest of Portland on the banks of the scenic Willamette River, and on the shores of a 405-acre lake. The city is near many of Oregon's greatest attractions: Mt. Hood (noted for skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, hiking and cross-country bicycling); the Oregon Coast, the Columbia Gorge, and nearby vineyards, farmlands and forests. Great fishing is available in local streams and rivers.
