Program Description

The JVS School of English is your home for English in Boston. Our mission is to provide high quality, professional English instruction in a supportive and welcoming environment, and to empower our adult students from diverse cultural, educational, and social backgrounds to reach their full potential. We have full-time and part-time English programs during morning or afternoon hours to fit your schedule. We offer classes at every level, from Beginner to Advanced, and also offer electives such as TOEFL Preperation, American Culture, Academic Writing, and English through History. We are conveniently located in Downtown Boston, close to public transportation, shopping, theaters, the financial district, and the historic heart of Boston. We offer classes 12 months of the year, and students may enter at any time and stay for two months or one year (or longer). Students who study with us go on to study at US universities or advance in their careers.

tuition: $495 per month for 18.5 hours per week; $350 per month for 14.5 hours per week; $300 per month for 12.5 hours per week; $180 per month for 7.5 hours per week; $145 per month for 6 hours per week; $100 per month for 4.5 hours per week. Tuition discounts are available if you pay for more than one month in advance.

Students should call to schedule a placement test. There is a $50 nonrefundable registration fee, paid at the time of the test. Students who need an I-20 must also provide financial documentation.
