Mercer University English Language Institute

Program Description

Mercer University English Language Institute is an academic program that prepares students for university study. There are five levels, which are divided into two sections. Each session lasts eight weeks. Classes meet Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 12:30 pm, plus three afternoons a week. Classes are offered in grammar, writing, reading, and listening and speaking. The computer lab offers state-of-the-art language software, Internet access, word processing and e-mail.

The main campus is a beautiful, wooded, 130-acre expanse located in Macon, Georgia--an historic community of small town values and big city amenities. The ELI building is located behind the law school. Macon is one-and-a-half hours from Atlanta.

application information:

New courses begin approximately every eight weeks, starting in January, March, May, June, August, and October. Overseas applicants must apply at least 30 days in advance to allow time for visa processing. Applications may be requested from the address, fax, e-mail or website given above.
