Program Description

Six 7.5-week session per year, 23 hours per week, Monday through Friday (no Friday afternoon classes). Eight levels, from "Beginning English" to "Advanced Mastery." Placement of new students by examination on the first day of each session. Five one-hour classes at each level, each class focussing on a different language skill. CIES maintains a small total enrollment on purpose; you will study in small classes with teachers (all of whom hold the MA or Ph.D. in Teaching English as a second language) and students from around the world. 2003 sessions begin January 2, February 24, May 1, June 23, August 21 and October 13. Tallahassee (pop. 200,000 (is a safe, clean city located in the beautiful northwestern part of the state, known for its year-round excellent climate. The Gulf of Mexico and its beaches are one hour away by car, and Miami, Orlando, and Tampa are only 1.5 hours away by air.
