Program Description

English for Academic Purposes with elective courses in the upper levels allows students to focus their studies in their areas of interest: TOEFL preparation, Business English, Computer Assisted Language Learning, technical writing, vocabulary development, idiomatic speech, literature, and many others. Language lab support is provided. In addition, a 4-week program offered in July focuses on business English or general English.

The University of South Florida is in Tampa, Florida, just 35 minutes from the white sand beaches of the Gulf of Mexico and only 75 minutes from Disney World, EPCOT Center, and Universal Studios. Tampa has tropical climate with very mild winters.

application information:

Students must send an application, a $100 deposit, and a financial statement showing $16,920 of support for a period of stay of one year in the United States. Overseas applicants should apply at least 6 weeks before the term of enrollment. Transfer students must submit a transfer report.
