Program Description:
OPENS AUGUST 27, 2007This location offers group Intensive (30 lessons per week), Semi-Intensive (20 lessons per week) and American Explorer (15 lessons per week) English programs. Students in the Intensive, Semi-Intensive & American Explorer English Programs offer instruction and practice in all key language skills: speaking, listening, pronunciation, vocabulary, reading & writing. The Intensive English Program also offers afternoon elective classes that focus on specific interests (such as American Idioms, American Film, Current Events and American Culture).Private instruction is also available at this location.

ELS/Washington, D.C. is located at Potamac College, where students will take their classes. It is a 5-minute free shuttle bus ride to American Universitys main campus, where ELS students will have access to the Universitys computer labs, library, cafeteria and recreational facilities. ELS students will live in a student residence near the American University campus or with a host family. Students can reach world-class museums, memorials, embassies and government buildings by a quick Metro ride the ELS Center.
