The English Language Center is an intensive English program for students who want to attend a university in the U.S. or who simply want to improve their English. The program has five 8-week terms a year starting in January, March, May, August and October. Full-time students take five classes for twenty hours of instruction per week. There are five levels of instruction: beginning, lower and upper intermediate, and lower and upper advanced. A special computer lab for ELC students offers instructional software plus e-mail and Internet access.

The University is located on a safe, garden-like campus in the western part of the city. Mobile has a subtropical climate, with very mild winters. Beaches in Florida and Alabama are less than one hour away by car. New Orleans is about two hours away.

Students who wish to obtain a student visa to the U.S. must submit an application, an application fee of $50, an Affidavit of Financial support, and a bank letter or some other document of financial proof. All of our application forms are available on our web page.
