English for Further Studies (EFS)

Program Description:

EFS is a 20-week, intermediate -level, full-time course (25 hpw) which orients students to educational approaches and cultural contexts for study in Australia, as well as developing English language skills for tetiary study. Students develop skills in listening and notetaking, academic reading and writing, academic presentations and discussions and using study resources ( library, research and computer skills. On completion of studies, they can sit the IELTS test for university entry purposes.

location information:

Armidale is one hour by plane , north of Sydney. It is an attractive cosmopolitan college town, with strong traditions in education and excellent facilities. It is surrounded by spectacular national parks and extensive farming land. The Language Centre is located in a heritage building surrounded by beautiful gardens.
