Student Services

A full-time advising staff offers assistance with immigration, academic, cultural adjustment, or personal problems, workshops and individual assistance with issues such as college and university applications and immigration regulations.

Additional Services

ALI students have several advantages when applying to SFSU through the ALI: Students receive assistance with the application process from the International Student Advisors. Students can receive a pre-evaluation of their school transcripts to determine if they have a high enough grade point average.

Other Programs

Students have access to all campus facilities, including sports facilities, student health service, library, and computer labs. The ALI offers a regular program of social activities, and a Conversation Partner Program (for intermediate and advanced students) that pairs ALI students with American university students for conversation and social activities during the fall and spring sessions only.

Other Programs Services

ALI also offers extensive advising for students as well as conversation practice and cultural activities.
