Established in 1977, the ESL School at NYFA (originally Century School of Languages) has over three decades of experience offering language instruction to students from around the world. In our Los Angeles, New York City and South Beach locations, the school is located on the campus of the New York Film Academy. For many students this will give them an opportunity to explore their interest in visual and performing Arts. Please note all locations of the ESL School at NYFA are authorized by Federal Law to accept I-20 students.
The Intensive English Program at the ESL School at NYFA (ESN) offers high-quality ESL education, support, and guidance to help students learn English successfully.
Our ESL students receive full-time attention. Throughout their studies, each student’s current level of ability in English and their proficiency goals are evaluated regularly. Student progress is constantly monitored so that extra help may be given as needed.
Our instructors are highly skilled, experienced, and committed to providing the best English education possible.
Class sizes are kept small, on average 6-12 students. This promotes individual attention and encourages interaction between teacher and student.
ESL students receive 20 hours per week of intensive English instruction, plus optional classes that focus on language skills and/or filmmaking topics. Classes are held Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Class schedules vary at each ESN location. Please contact the location of your choice for the current class schedule.
