St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wisconsin (20,000 pop.) is a suburb of Green Bay (100,000 pop.). We are located in Northeast Wisconsin, approximately 300 miles north of Chicago. St. Norbert College is located along the Fox River, and is a safe, welcoming community. The college enrolls about 2000 students in 4-year programs.

The ESL Institute was established at St. Norbert College in 1993 to provide English language learners an opportunity to learn English in a safe and welcoming environment. St. Norbert College’s innovative, intensive ESL program has been designed to provide students with authentic and in-depth experience in academic English language as well as with immersion in U.S. culture. Students enroll in special courses and integrate fully in campus life at St. Norbert College.

Description

The St. Norbert College ESL Institute offers a welcoming and professional classroom environment to prepare students for academic study at U.S. college or university. St. Norbert College’s innovative, intensive ESL program has been designed to provide students with authentic and in-depth experience in academic English language as well as with immersion in U.S. culture. Students enroll in special courses (focused on reading, writing, speaking, listening, and gramma) and integrate fully in campus life at St. Norbert College. We offer year-round classes for Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters. Classes meet 18 hours per week. Our instructors are experienced and committed to student success. Conditional admission to St. Norbert’s degree programs is available to qualified students.

Student Services

Airport pickup, orientation, access to College's health center, sports center including swimming pool, computer labs, library, trips and activities, service learning, externships, immigration and academic advising.

Additional Services

Academic advising, conditional admission to degree programs at SNC, basic ESL classes with electives in Job Hunting Skills, TOEFL preparation, Pronunciation are available. Tutors, Friendship Families, and Conversation Partners available during the academic year.

Other Programs

English for business executives or medical professionals arranged upon request. Summer group programs offered in June and July.
