Description

Greensboro is a demographically diverse, medium-sized city (population: 277,000) located in central North Carolina, halfway between the Appalachian Mountains to the west and Atlantic Ocean beaches to the east. It has a mild climate with four distinct seasons. Residents enjoy a low cost of living but have access to the amenities and attractions larger cities offer. Greensboro has a vibrant downtown and plentiful access to shopping, arts, sports, and green areas. The state capital, Raleigh, and the largest NC city, Charlotte, are short drives away. Greensboro now hosts six institutions of higher education, the most important being The University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG), a public research university of 18,500 students that offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in a large variety of fields. INTERLINK's ESL program, located on the UNCG campus, works closely with the International Programs Center and university departments/units to prepare and support its students for academic, linguistic, and cultural success.

The INTERLINK Language Center at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro offers intensive English training, cultural orientation, and academic preparation to university-bound international students. Features include six levels of instruction (beginner through advanced), small class sizes, a project-based curriculum, an experiential-learning approach, and access to university facilities and courses.
