Intensive English Language Program

Program Description

Conveniently located in downtown Portland, the IELP features advanced teaching techniques, supportive teachers, and small classes. With an academic focus and incorporating five levels, the IELP's curriculum focuses on the skills of grammar, reading, writing, and speaking/listening. Other courses include TOEFL preparation, pronunciation, business English, vocabulary, and English through film. University credit is available for students admitted to Portland State University. Students are integrated into the PSU student body and may use university facilities. Other services include an ESL computer lab, social activities coordinator, and personal and academic advising.
