Program Description

International Programs offers Intensive English as a Second Language classes to non-native speakers of English preparing to enter college or university. It provides instruction in written and spoken English, college placement counseling, and TOEFL test preparation. Upon acceptance to full-time study in the Intensive English Language Institute (ELI), and I-20 will be issued. Bellevue Community College guarantees admittance into its credit programs for successful ELI students upon completion of all necessary application requirements and scoring 500+ on the TOEFL, or with ELI recommendation upon successful level 5 completion.

It is a mixture of urban and rural economies and cultures. Famous for its safe environment and highly educated population, this international business community has attracted such firms as Boeing Computer Services, Microsoft, and Nintendo of America.

application information:

Students must submit: an international student application, completed and signed by the applicant; evidence of financial support; and a one-time application and activity fee of $150, of which $50 is nonrefundable. Intensive English and Housing applications should be received by International Programs at least one month in advance of the beginning of the quarter. Late applications will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Applications that are not signed, dated or accompanied by the required application will be returned.
