Program Description:
OLI academic English course is designed to prepare students from non-English speaking countries for study at colleges and universities abroad. Omega provides daily instruction in listening, speaking, reading, writing, grammar, and pronunciation. Moreover, the student will have the opportunity to choose from a wide range of courses such as Int. Business, British Studies, Economics & Statisstics, IELTS preparation, and Hospitality & Tourism Management. Through our course work, students are able to strengthen and expand their academic English skills. Students are also introduced to cultural practices of Western countries so they are able to succeed in social settings as well as academic settings. Our school is structured into four levels and upon passing the forth level, students will be well prepared for any overseas college or university they may attend. Opportunities exist for students to interact with English speakers throughout the day on Omega's campus, giving students many chances to practice their English skills with native English speakers. Furthermore, we offer a joint Foundation Year Programme in association with British Study Centre, Oxford.

We have two apartment buildings for our students. The buildings are newly equipped and each room has a telephone and an air conditioner. Five students share one room with living arrangements made according to students' course selection and preferences. Washing machines and dryers are available on every floor in the apartment building free of charge. Professional laundry service is also available.

OLI, Shanghai is located in the west of Shanghai. It is only 20 kilometers from Central Shanghai. The campus covers an area of more than 8,800 square meters. Surrounded by the modern conveniences and traditional charm of Shanghai, you will surely enjoy a peaceful, beautiful and comfortable life on the campus. We have a dinning room and cafe that holds 130 people. Our students' club provides you with a variety of choices for sports activities in the gym center: indoor and outdoor swimming pools, tennis courts, and a basketball court.
